Overnight Camp out on the USS Constitution

September 6th is coming FAST!  We look forward to seeing everyone at this great event... the Constitution is heading into dry dock for the next two years and this is one of the last weekends to see Old Ironsides!

September 6 - 7, 2014
USS Constitution Museum,
Charlestown Navy Yard, Building 22
Charlestown, MA



  • Arrive by 1800 (6PM)

  • Park @ Nautica Parking Garage - 88 Constitution Rd, Charleston ($22 for overnight parking); about 1 block away from the Constitution

  • Wear your “Run with the Pack” shirts if you have one…if not, casual wear is fine. Remember, we are on the harbor for the night and things can get a bit colder there than home…dress appropriately.

  • Bring water (no other food allowed), sleeping bag and $5/person for pizza

  • No knives or weapons allowed

1800(6pm):  Arrive, stow sleeping gear (need sleeping bag and some type of pad or air mattress)

1800-1900:  We are going to order pizza and eat in their training class room; you are welcome to bring your own food as well. Please confirm back whether you will be partaking in pizza; it will be $5 / person and we will need a head count to order.

1900-2000:  1 hr of service work helping clean the ship. Participate in evening colors.

2000-2100:  Special tour of entire ship, including most restricted areas.

2100-2200:  Scavenger hunt of items mentioned on tours.  Troop bedtime and lights out.

2200-0600:  Taps.

0600-0800:  Wake up, 2nd hour of service work preparing ship for open.  Morning colors, and done.
