2024 Spring Camp Out

Our free fall camp out is coming up May 3-5, 2024.  Stay overnight or just for the day...

This is a family camp out at Henderson Lodge, Nobscot Scout Reservation

We need to get an estimated count of who is coming so we can buy supplies.  Please sign up  if you are planning on coming for Saturday and/or Sunday. Webelos should also use this form to RSVP for Friday 

EVENT DETAILS

Date:  Saturday May 4, 2024 to Sunday May 5, 2024

(Webelos will also be camping the Friday night before)

Time: Saturday Start @ 2:00 pm, Sunday End @ 10:00 am

Cost: FREE to all Scouts and their families

Place:  Nobscot Scout Reservation, Sudbury, MA - Henderson Lodge

SCHEDULE:

• Sat @ 2:00 pm:  Meeting at the lodge - Scout activities and games

• Sat @ 3:00 pm: Hike to Tippling Rock

• Sat @ 6:00 pm:  Dinner

• Sat @ 7:00 pm: Campfire Program

• Sat @ 10:00 pm:  Lights out

• Sun @ 8:00 am:  Breakfast

• Sun @ 9:30 am: Hike out

WHAT TO BRING:           

• • Snacks. We will provide dinner on Saturday and continental breakfast on Sunday.

  • Tent if you're sleeping outside

• Sleeping Bag

• Air Mattress or Foam Mat (tent sleepers)

• Pillow

• Clothing- You may need a warm coat/jacket plus hat and gloves depending on the night-time temperature plus lighter clothing for the day and activities. Wool socks which stay warm even when wet. Extra set of dry clothes to change into is recommended. UNIFORMS ARE NOT REQUIRED.

• Hiking boots or comfortable walking shoes

• Hats/sunglasses for the sun

• Water bottles

• Backpacks for a hike to carry your gear

• Cameras

• Pocket knives are OK if you have a whittling chip card and an adult with you. NO AXES. 

• Mitts, baseballs, footballs, Frisbees are OK

• Mess kits if you have them or your own re-usable utensils, plates and cups

• Reusable water bottles

• Camp chairs for around the fire

• Toiletries and toilet paper

Please be prepared for the conditions by wearing proper footwear (boots are advised) and packing extra clothes in your vehicle in case there is a slip and fall in the mud (it happens every year!).  This lodge is easily accessible adjacent to the parking lot at Nobscot.
