Pack 31 meets most Mondays throughout the school year. Events such as camping and hikes are also held on weekends.
Meetings typically last about an hour. After that time, Scouts are free to leave or can play on the Goodnow playground as long as guardians allow. Leaders are typically available for questions before and after the scheduled meeting.
Den and Pack meetings are held at Goodnow Elementary unless otherwise noted. Camping, hikes, and special events will have a location listed. We typically camp at Camp Resolute in Bolton and Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury. Hikes are all within driving distance.
Girls and boys from Kindergarten to 5th Grade are welcome in Cub Scouts.
Registration fees are paid directly to Scouting America and Mayflower Council.
Pack 31 does not receive financial support from Scouting America or Mayflower Council.
Currently, Pack 31 does not charge additional dues to fund our program.
Families can request a fee waiver from Mayflower Council by using this form.
Pack 31 is completely fundraiser supported. We provide the following to all Scouts and families.
Pack 31 Tee-shirt to all registered scouts
Awards earned throughout the Scouting year
Free supplies at all meetings
Meals at all campouts for all attendees
Pinewood Derby cars
Raingutter Regatta boats
We fundraise to lower the financial burden on all families and to be able to provide assistance to any families who need it. We do not like to charge for individual events throughout the year. We believe in giving back to the community and are able to do so with money raised during fundraisers.
Fundraising also develops social skills for our Scouts which is a valuable addition to the program.
ScoutBucks are rewards given to Scouts during fundraisers. A percentage of money raised during fundraisers is given back to Scouts in a spending account.
ScoutBucks can be redeemed by submitting receipts for any "scouting related expense"
