Scouting is more than just another activity, it’s a chance to explore, learn, and grow together.
At Pack 31, we believe learning should be hands-on, meaningful, and full of adventure. We are committed to creating a fun, welcoming, and safe environment where our children can explore the outdoors, try new things, build leadership skills, and gain confidence that lasts far beyond Cub Scouts.
Not your typical drop and go activity. Scouting is one of the few activities where families can truly participate together!
Whether it’s camping, hiking, building, racing, or exploring, there’s something for every interest and personality.
We get it, schedules get busy! If a meeting or event doesn't work for your schedule, skip it and go to the next one!
Scouts are taught to Do Your Best, and live by the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law, in aim to build positive moral character.
In Scouting, the safety of our youth and volunteers always comes first.
All registered adult leaders are required to complete a criminal background check and mandatory Safeguarding Youth Training through Scouting America. Families also have free access to this training, along with the Scouting America's Parent's Guide to Youth Protection, which every Cub Scout reviews with their adults at the start of each Scouting year.
Additionally, leaders are encouraged to continue their training through both online and in-person programs that cover topics such as outdoor safety, first aid, CPR, and more. Together, these programs help ensure that Pack 31 provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment for every Scout and family.
Cub Scouts is run entirely by dedicated parent volunteers like you!
The leadership team includes the Cubmaster and Den Leaders who work directly with Scouts to bring the Cub Scout program to life through meetings, activities, and adventures.
Behind the scenes, the Pack Committee, including roles such as Committee Chair and Trearsuer, help keep the administrative side of the pack running smoothly.
Together, these volunteers create a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for every Scout and family.
Pack 31's adventures are only truly possible becuase we are part of a larger network of organizations that support the work we do. The Rotary Club of Marlborough is our charter organization that provides a community home for the pack right here in Marlborough. The Mayflower Council is our distric council that provides training, camps, and regional events for Scouts and leaders.
Scouting America is the national council that is continuallying improving the Scouting advancement system, safety standards, and programing that guide every Scout’s journey across the country.
From the great outdoors to the Pinewood Derby, there is always an exciting new adventure happening with Pack 31!
Den meetings focus on earning adventure badges for rank.
Pack meetings focus on activities that build community by bringing the entire Pack together, such as game nights, parties, guest speakers and even local field trips.
There is typically 1 Pack meeting & 3 Den meetings a month during the school year.
Pack 31 loves getting outside and exploring the world around us. Throughout the year, Pack 31 offers various opportunities for Scouts and thier families to enjoy nature together while building confidence, developing new outdoor skills, and learning about the value of the environement around us.
Twice a year Pack 31 has a full pack campout at one of the two local Scouting America campgrounds - Camp Resolute in Bolton and Nobscot Reservation in Sudbury. These nights include smore's, skits, hikes, fishing, telling jokes, dinner, and mostly importantly loads of fun with friends.
At least twice a year Pack 31 enjoys overnights at unique venues. In the past few years Scouts have found themselves rolling out their sleeping bags on the outfield at Polar Park, in the musuem halls of the Ecotaurium, in the historics walls of Old Sturbidge village, and below deck on the USS Constitution!
Each Scout unlocks their creativity to design and build their own wooden race car! With an adults help to use some of tools of course.
The whole pack then enjoys a day full of fun, creativity, and friendly competition! Racing for den and pack trophies, voitng for “best design” categories, and more! The fastest cars move on to Marlborough town finals to race against other Cub & Girl Scouts!
Throughout the year Pack 31 takes part in multiple service projects that teach responsibility, kindness, and the value of giving back to their community.
Projects have included:
Holiday Toy Drives & more!
Pack 31 helps Scouts feel connected to their community by providing them the opprotunity to proudly represent Pack 31 at various local parades, events, and more.
Events have included:
Memorial & Veterans Day parades

Town and community celebrations
A special celebration for the entire pack. This event honors our Arrow of Light Scouts as they move on to the next step in their journey and celebrates the birthday of Cub Scouting.
It’s a time to reflect, celebrate achievements, and come together as a pack. This banquet is typically held in March right before the Cub Scouts move up to their Scout Troops.
Scouts take part in a meaningful fall fundraising season that helps them learn to set goals, practice communication skills, and the value of earning for themselves.
A successful fundraising season allows us to operate without charging any Pack 31 dues!
